  • The investigation has revealed that an unknown hacker sent an email to Hacking Team’s system administrators on April 29, informing them of the data breach and demanding a ransom. Our investigation into the March 2019 event continues. We have identified that there were over 5.1k lines of code in the April 29th release but only 1.4K lines of code in the April 4th release during a period when we believe there was an intentional change made to one or more files related to our test suite that would impact performance.
